Luke comes to Michael & Sun with experience in a broad range of industries, spanning from quality assurance and wastewater recycling in the brewing industry to outdoor industry leadership. He brings with him a passion to work toward a greener energy future. In his roles Luke has often worked as a jack-of-all-trades. Prior to joining the M&S team, he led the QAQC Laboratory of one of Sonoma County’s most beloved craft breweries, served as Director of a Yosemite guiding agency (and occasionally led snowshoe trips through the mountains), served as opening GM at his family’s hearth-baked pizza restaurant, and has performed research into drug addiction and substance abuse. When away from work, you might find him kayaking along the Sonoma Coast, rock climbing, or enjoying a sunset with his dog, Willow. Luke graduated cum laude from the University of Kentucky in 2012 as a double major in Neuroscience & Psychology with a minor in Biology, gained post-graduate certification as a Master Brewer through UC Davis in 2018, and holds a Diploma in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing & Distilling out of London.
